We probably have muttered “Righty tighty, lefty loosey” when trying to put a nut on a bolt, but when you are starting a nut on a bolt, turning it lefty loosey first, then righty tighty helps align the threads of the nut and bolt. This reduces your chances of cross threading the nut and bolt!
This lefty loosey function is even built into most automatic/robotic screwdrivers in modern factories

What’s a cross-thread? let’s hope you never have to find out!

“Someone who had a hospital bed at home – they were using so much energy because of the hospital bed that they were facing utility shutoff.”
That was a line from Dr Anna Goldman, a doctor at Boston Medical Center.

Because they were seeing so many patients who were having to make a decision between using their medical device or making ends meet for the month, they came up with a system to to help cover some of the electricity cost by using the solar power system installed on the hospital!

By harnessing the sun that God created, these doctors are able to help patients in new innovative ways.
What a bright idea!

Have you heard about “the Great Skills Gap?”
As of this writing (2024), the United States can expect an average of 11,200 people to turn 65 years old EVERY SINGLE DAY until the end of 2027!

We can expect some fields like the trades to have a significant worker shortage to meet demands.
The population landscape can also shift as popular retirement destinations get a boost while those left behind can find new hardships as jobs, resources, church memberships follow the migration.

But we as Christians can also view this as an opportunity to serve the growing number of people that just physically can’t do the work any more or communities that need neighborly help. So let’s roll up our sleeves and get ready to serve!

Short and long, screwdrivers come in many shapes and sizes, but did you know the long screwdrivers aren’t just for reaching that screw tucked far away? The length of the long screwdriver makes it easier to see that you are aligned and seated straight on the screw to prevent stripping the screw head.

It also makes for a better back scratcher than a short screw driver.

Maybe some of you already know Spencer from SB Mowing through his TikTok or Youtube channel.

He goes and mows, cleans overgrown yards for free but this particular job was very special for the disabled lady Beth who had been struggling to get anyone to come work on her lawn. Spencer offers to clean up her front, back, side yard and driveway giving her more room to walk safely from her front door to her car.

And what did Beth have to say? “My prayers have been answered”

What makes this story even more special is his video triggered an internet community response wanting to donate money to help Beth out even more and Spencer’s response to this is so wonderful.
We might not have the influence to raise over $500,000 from helping out a neighbor, but some of the comments and I believe that Beth probably appreciated the act of Spencer spending time to listen to her and helping her more than the money.

So next time you see or hear about a neighbor in need, let’s pray to our heavenly Father not just to send help for this person, but to give you and me the courage and use us to answer the neighbors prayer!

In the wake of Hurricane Helene in 2024, team of volunteers deployed portable Solar Power Stations to heavily hit areas of North Carolina.
These areas that were out of power for days on end were able to use these power stations to run critical equipment like refrigerators that stored medication like insulin and pumps to displace water.

Isn’t it amazing God designed the sun and the science to allow us to generate electricity and save lives??
